Warwickshire Pathways: launch of new drug and alcohol services in Warwickshire

Following an extensive countywide consultation and engagement, service redesign and re-commissioning process, Warwickshire County Council (WCC) has officially launched Pathways, the new name for Warwickshire’s drug and alcohol services, with two stakeholder events in Warwick and Nuneaton.
Warwickshire Pathways is commissioned by Warwickshire County Council and delivered by specialist providers. The service is delivered in the following ways:
Children and Young Persons’ Drug and Alcohol Service includes an 18-25 years transition service– Provided by Compass.
Adult Drug and Alcohol Service includes an 18-25 years transition service – Provided by Change Grow Live. (CGL)
All Age Recovery and Well Being Network – Provided by Change Grow Live. (CGL)
Additionally, Warwickshire now has its own local, community-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation service in the south of the county. The development was supported by a Public Health England Grant and WCC, and is led by one of our existing providers, Experience, Strength and Hope (ESH).
The new service providers will work together under the Pathways brand to deliver a joined up and seamless approach to supporting people with drug and alcohol problems and their families. The quality of life outcomes that the services seek to improve include:

The events brought together key stakeholders from a wide range of partners including the districts and boroughs, health, police, fire, the criminal justice system and the community and voluntary sector and showcased the lived experiences of those who have used Compass and CGL treatment services.

We look forward to working with Compass, CGL and ESH through a collaborative provider network to help Warwickshire residents make positive choices and improve their health and wellbeing.
“This is a fantastic offer that we are able to deliver by working closely with residents, partners and other organisations to improve the quality of life for all our residents. We work closely with service users, their families and key partners within health, social care, housing, employment and the criminal justice system, delivering outcomes that positively impact on an individual’s health and well-being and on those of society as a whole.”
